WORKSHOPS
Under festivalen kommer workshops att hållas av våra
gäster. Alla workshops utom den för nybörjare hålls på engelska.
Deltagande i en workshop kostar 200kr och hålls antingen på Improvisation
& Co, Hagagatan 48 eller på Grekiskt Kulturcentrum, Idungatan
4, ett stenkast från teatern.
Nivåer:
Beginner - Ingen förkunskap krävs
Intermediate - Grundläggande kunskaper och erfarenhet av
improvisation
Advanced - För dig som har mycket erfarenhet av improvisation
och är van att improvisera för publik
Kom ihåg att boka plats till de workshops och föreställningar
du vill gå på även om du har Festival- eller Lyxpasset. Platserna
är begränsade, först till kvarn gäller!

Dig deeper into status
Let's explore and dig a little deeper into status work, both in
work on stage and in real life situations. Excercises and theory,
scene work and applications for everyday interaction. Status on
stage, a tool for actors, directors and writers; how does it work
in groups, in leadership, teaching, corporate etc. Simo will share
his research on status work which has also been published in a
book.

Mask workshop
We will get acquainted with half-masks and learn how to play
with them. With plain instructions we are going to allow spontaneous
characters to emerge and let this stop our minds planning ahead.

Strindberg
When improvisers practice storytelling we often study the
film genres. However, in this workshop Nordic narratives in dramatic
writing will be studied through the work of play writer August
Strindberg. We have invited Ture Rangström, Sweden's foremost
authority on Strindberg. Rangström, an award winning playwright,
is artistic director for Strindberg's Intimate Theatre. Rangström
has also been head of the Swedish Playwrights Union and the Strindberg
Association. The workshop will introduce us to some of the dramatic
tools used by Strindberg and it is going to be both theoretical
and physical. Spectators are welcome as well.

Action-Reaction
The workshop generally focuses on training the improviser
to be inspired by what is already going on, so that every action
becomes an original reaction. But more specifically, it means
to help performers make their reactions more intensive, more meaningful,
and more engaging.

Physical improvisation/Body Language
The workshop will focus on the uses of physicality/body language
in impro. How can we speak with our bodies? How can a strong character
be developed through physicality? How can we define and play various
scenes without using any verbal language? A crash-course in Narobov
style!
